What is Invisalign?

Invisalign is a type of clear aligners used to treat as an orthodontic device, they are a transparent and plastic form of invisible braces used to adjust misaligned teeth. Invisalign is one of the 27 products clear-aligners found on the market. They are mostly effected for mild to moderate crowding and spacing only of the front teeth. Our professionals believe that Invisalign, a computer-generated orthodontic device, is that solution and can be used at any age, from 13 all the way up to 70.

Invisalign are designed to help guide teeth into their proper position. Similar to braces, Invisalign uses a gradual force to control tooth movement, but without metal wires or brackets. The aligners are made of a strong plastic material and are fabricated to fit the patient’s mouth. To achieve the desired amount of movement, a series of aligners are needed, and every aligner moves the teeth in increments.

Unlike the more traditional braces or retainers, Invisalign is a virtually invisible method of straightening the teeth. The patient will be fitted with a removable fitted Invisalign, which is also a see-through aligner that has been specifically crafted to fit the patient’s teeth. These will gradually shift the teeth in 14 to 20 days and in every two and a half week period the patient will change into a new aligner. As the treatment progresses over the following weeks and months, the patient’s facial profile with teeth would straighten into their proper positions. Before the treatment begins, a plan is created showing the difference of the before and after of the treatment to the patient.
